Trees are among the most valuable gifts of nature. They provide us with oxygen, shade, fruits, wood, and medicine. They also prevent soil erosion, control floods, and purify the air. In cities, trees reduce noise pollution and give shelter to birds and animals. Despite their importance, humans are cutting down trees rapidly for construction, industries, and furniture. If deforestation continues at this rate, our future generations will suffer from extreme climate change and a lack of clean air. It is our moral duty to plant more trees and protect the existing ones. Every individual should plant at least one tree a year and encourage others to do the same.

(पेड़ प्रकृति के सबसे मूल्यवान उपहारों में से हैं। वे हमें ऑक्सीजन, छाया, फल, लकड़ी और दवाई प्रदान करते हैं। वे मिट्टी के कटाव को रोकते हैं, बाढ़ पर नियंत्रण करते हैं और हवा को शुद्ध करते हैं। शहरों में पेड़ शोर प्रदूषण कम करते हैं तथा पक्षियों और जानवरों को आश्रय देते हैं। महत्व के बावजूद, मनुष्य निर्माण, उद्योगों और फर्नीचर के लिए तेजी से पेड़ काट रहे हैं। यदि वनों की कटाई इसी गति से जारी रही तो भावी पीढ़ियाँ अत्यधिक जलवायु परिवर्तन और स्वच्छ हवा की कमी से पीड़ित होंगी। अधिक पेड़ लगाना और मौजूदा पेड़ों की रक्षा करना हमारा नैतिक कर्तव्य है। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को वर्ष में कम से कम एक पेड़ लगाना चाहिए और दूसरों को भी ऐसा करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना चाहिए।)

This shift has reduced attention spans and made deep thinking difficult. To revive the habit of reading, schools should dedicate at least one hour daily to silent reading. Parents should also set an example by reading at home.
